WHAT ARE POLYNUCLEOTIDES?
Polynucleotides are natural, highly-purified DNA molecules usually extracted from fish.
02
HOW DO POLYNUCLEOTIDES WORK?
Cells have DNA, which is made of polynucleotides. When we inject more polynucleotides into aged and damaged skin cells, they help to regenerate tissue by stimulating fibroblasts – a type of cell that contributes to the formation of connective tissue. Essentially, we are healing skin from within. This improved your skin quality and texture.
03
HOW ARE POLYNUCLEOTIDES ADMINISTERED?
Polynucleotides are injected into aged and damaged and skin via specific techniques.
04
WHAT CAN POLYNUCLEOTIDES BE USED FOR?
Polynucleotides are used to improve: Fine lines/wrinkles, blemishes, pigmentation, acne scarring, skin inflammation and redness.
05
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE TREATMENT?
When you arrive for your treatment at one our clinics in Redhill or Reigate, you will be checked in by one of our coordinators. You will be then be greeted by our friendly doctor and a complimentary consultation will be carried out to check the suitability of the polynucleotides after discussing your personal goals and medical history. If other treatments are more suitable our clinician will let you know about them. You will also have a chance to ask any questions you may have. Once the consent forms are signed we will proceed to take some photographs for your medical records. Numbing cream will be applied about 20 minutes prior to treatment. Your skin will be then cleaned using a cleansing solution. Your skin may be marked with a non-permanent skin pencil and the polynucleotides will be given with a tiny needle.
06
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
You may notice a small amount of bleeding at the injection sites which tends to settle within 15 minutes. For 24 hours after the procedure, we recommend avoiding makeup, exercise, alcohol, hot drinks, and hot environments and to not touch the injection sites.
07
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST FOR POLYNUCLEOTIDES?
Patients can expect to see initial results after three weeks, which will last six to nine months.
08
CAN I USE POLYNUCLEOTIDES WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?
Yes, absolutely. All of our polynucleotides can be offered as a stand-alone treatment or used in combination with any other procedure. We have seen excellent results alongside dermal filler, botulinum toxin.
