It is not usually painful but you can experience burning or stinging sensation. Taking some simple pain killers 30 minutes prior to treatment can help.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER OBAGI BLUE PEEL?
After the peel your face can look a bit red. You may even experience some skin peeling after a couple of days. It’s important that your skin is protected from the sun until your skin is settled. A good SPF and a regular moisturiser should help.

The chemical peel can increase your skin’s sensitivity. Side effects can include stinging, itching, irritation, redness, swelling, tightness, peeling and scabbing of the skin, scarring, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation.
